Fixing Paid Parental Leave Payment through Payroll

I accidently paid an employee their Paid Parental Leave through our Normal Wages Catergory instead of the Paid Parental Leave Catergory that I set up. How do I fix this so the it is reflected correctly on our accounts and in the employees' PAYG Summary Report

Re: Fixing Paid Parental Leave Payment through Payroll

Hi @ASA

Generally, if a payroll transaction has been recorded incorrectly, you are best to delete and reprocess that transaction correctly. To delete a payroll transaction, open the required payroll transaction and select Edit>>Delete Payroll transaction.

In some cases, you may be able to make an adjustment in the next pay or by doing an adjustment pay. Generally, this will involve placing a negative against the incorrect payroll transaction and a positive value against the required payroll category. Note: there are may some additional considerations such as tax, entitlements, superannuation.

Kind regards,
Steven
