General payroll information



I'm in the process in setting up payroll. In the general payroll information section I'm having issues completing certain sections. Firstly do you need to input a default superannuation fund & second is it necessary to set up payroll tax.

This Help Article on setting up payroll in AccountRight may assist you. Note that you do not need to set up Payroll Tax unless it is relevant to your business, and the same goes for entering a Witholding Payer Number (WPN): enter it only if you have one. For Super, as I understand it you would need to have a Super account linked to each employee, if not their own nominated account, then a default account. Please refer to this article on setting up superannuation funds for more information.
