Incorrect ATO Reporting Category Assigned to Payroll Category

I’m currently going through the EOFY checks and have noted that gross wages on the Year-to-date verification report is higher compared to my Payroll Activity Statement.  Two of our employees repaid loans and I’ve just noted that the ATO Reporting Category applied to the Advance Payment was Gross Payments.  All amounts reported to the ATO through STP are correct.  Can this be corrected through my Payroll so that both reports match.

Hi @Melinda68 

 

If you have incorrectly selected an ATO Reporting Category for a payroll category, you want to update the ATO Reporting Category to be the category that you are wanting. Once that has been actioned, completed a $0.00 pay run which will send that corrected information to the ATO. When that $0.00 pay run has been accepted by the ATO the Payroll Reporting Centre will show the information under the new ATO Reporting Category.
