JobMaker - Period Declaration

I completed the JobMaker period 5 declaration in MYOB on 6/4/22 and logged into the ATO portal tonight to complete the JobMaker claim.  The ATO portal states that the 20 hrs worked or paid has not been provided, consequently I can't make the claim.  What has gone wrong?

Re: JobMaker - Period Declaration

Hi @Rachael_M

Thanks for your post. Can you go to the Payroll reporting centre>>EOFY finalisation tab>>click on the ellipsis (...) for that employee and download the Summary of payments report. In the Allowances section of that report check the JobMaker code reported, if you've declared Period 5 it should be JMHC-P05.

If you still have problems with this please send screenshots of the Allowance section in the Summary of payments report and the JobMaker tab in the Payroll reporting centre. Please make sure sensitive information is removed from screenshots prior to posting on the public Forum.

Re: JobMaker - Period Declaration

Thanks for your reply @Tracey_H

There were no allowances shown in the summary of payments however I have done the declarations.

Why hasn't it worked/filtered through?

Not sure what I have done wrong.

Also, why are we now forced to login to the online version of AccountRight for STP payroll reporting?  Is this a permanent change?  It simply wastes times as I  always use the software version of MYOB.

@Tracey_H are you able to assist me?  This is time critical and I am not happy to risk missing the claim cut off date.

Re: JobMaker - Period Declaration

Hi @Rachael_M

In that screenshot you've got Re-nomination sent 13/04/2022 in the Nomination column. Did those employee's leave your business and return? Re-nomination is only used for returning employees so if they didn't leave you'll need to nominate them:

  1. Click the 3 dots next to employee’s name and choose Remove nomination.
  2. Click the 3 dots next to employee’s name and choose Nominate employee.
  3. On the nominate employee window don’t tick the check box (this is only for renominations) and select nominate.
  4. Declare this to the ATO

Your company file needs to be online to report STP Phase 2 due to the way it connects with the ATO online portals. To clarify, when your company file is online it can be accessed through both the desktop software and a web browser. As such, as long as the file is online you can continue to process pays in the desktop software.

Please let me know how you go.

Re: JobMaker - Period Declaration

Hi @Tracey_H I've done what you have advised and the screen now says Nomination sent 20/4/2022 for each.  I  incorrectly ticked the check box when I declared for the claim period.

The 'STP Reports' window status says accepted so I've checked the 'EOFY finalisation' summary of payment report and there are still no allowances listed as you descibed yesterday.

Re: JobMaker - Period Declaration

@Tracey_H I'm not sure what to expect with the community forum.  Your knowledge is excellent but when we are working to resolve an issue with constant problems in a step by step process, the forum response times are simply too slow.  I have been on hold to MYOB support 1hr 50 minutes this morning and the wait time is still estimated to be 18-22 minutes so it seems that answers on the forum are very slow and the phone is just as bad.  These are time critical issues and I am overwhelmingly frustrated and disappointed with level of customer service.

I await your assistance @Tracey_H

Re: JobMaker - Period Declaration

I am bloody angry!  I have been on hold for 2 hrs 33 mintues and the resolution from the seemingly untrained girl located in the South African call centre is:

I can't help you.  A product specialist will email you.

I called for phone support!!!  Product specialists apparantly only talk to their staff and can't talk to clients hence she will email me.  So what, now I hold my breath and hope for a response.  This is outrageous and disgraceful customer service!!!  You have just about pushed me over to Xero.
