Long Service Leave that becomes due on an anniversary not accrued

In our industry the Long Service Leave becomes due on the aniversary date 10 years after joining.

I have opened the wage category and the entitlement categories previously.

I marked this employees card as due the first lot of LSL, entered the hours due him in the Balance Adjustment area, it shows them as a negative in the Carry Over area.

Why is that?

How do I get the hours to show as a positive in the Carry Over Area

It used to work.

Hi @Ele

I’d start by double checking the entitlement itself, and ensuring that ‘Carry remaining balance over…” is indeed ticked. If this is unticked and greyed out, you would need to create a new entitlement with that option ticked and assign that to the employee.

You would then need to record a void pay where the only figure on the pay is the amount of entitlement that the employee should get. This will put the amount through onto the employee’s card in the YTD column, so it will skip the carry over column

Neil
