MYOB Unfair Business Practice

We will reporting MYOB to ACCC in regards to Unfair Business Practice based on the following:

-MYOB have advised in order to be able to use the Single Touch Payroll Function we have to now pay almost double what we are currently paying

- MYOB have provided just over 30 days notice to make a decision, thereby limiting our options and providing little time for research and scope for migration

- MYOB have decided in the eleventh hour that we need to pay more in order to access STP function, how is this so? STP has already been in operation for the last 12 months, yet they only allow 30 days notice to either lose access to the function or we pay almost double amount.

Based on the above we can only perceive this as MYOB taking advantage of compulsory reporting imposed by ATO and using it as revenue raising exercise.

We believe MYOB's business practice is unfair and not reasonable.

Re: MYOB Unfair Business Practice

Hi @TinaMG

Thank you for your feedback in regards to payroll reporting on a second company file.

All our online services require a subscription. We recently picked up an error which meant a small number of AccountRight Plus and Premier clients and partners were granted unintended access to Single Touch Payroll on files that were not subscribed. On realising this, we have sought to correct it and plan to commence charging for each additional file from 2 September.

Kind regards,
Steven
