New fin year pay run processed without backup

Good Afternoon - I do our weekly wages on a Thursday, so this week it was on 1 July which I am sure would fall into the new financial year but I only realised now when I wanted to prepare payment summaries that I was supposed to do a backup first.  I am using STP - what should I do?

Re: New fin year pay run processed without backup

Is a possible solution to deduct the figures for the last pay run (only 8 employees) when do the summaries?

Re: New fin year pay run processed without backup

Hi @Mathilda

When MYOB moved to automatic Payroll Year rollover, they forgot to add an alert to notify users to make a backup first. Many get caught out with this.

If you are reporting via STP you do not need to complete the 'Prepare Payment Summary process' - STP takes care of this. You simply need to do EOY Finalisation in STP.

If you need payment summaries for some other reason, you may need to contact MYOB to retrieve a server backup before the 1 July 2021 pay was processed.

Regards

Gavin
