Payment Summary different to Income Statement

Payment Summary different to Income Statement

Payment summaries were reconciled to the payroll records, including adjustments in respect of FBT, Reportable Super, ETP, etc. 

 

We rund STP and so the payment summary information was then automatically submitted to the ATO

 

One employee has attempted to do their tax return and the Income Statement showing in their MyGov account disagrees to the Payment summary document.

 

Any idea why this is?

Hi @POP1 

 

If I understand correctly you finalised through STP, did you reconcile the EOFY verification report to MYOB?

 

It is the verification report that is sent to the ATO when you finalise, not the payment summaries. 

 

The payment summaries and income statements could be different because of number of reasons - ato reporting categories being assigned incorrectly, RFBA needs to manually added at Finalisation, ETP not reporting correctly. 

 

I would recommend restoring a back up, undoing the Finalisations for all employees and reconciling the verification report.

Have you downloaded their STP file to see exactly what has been included and or could be missing compared to your print out from MYOB?
