Payroll Automatically Reduce Entitlements when Base Salary Reduced

How do I set up that Holiday and Sick Leave entitlements reduce automatically if base salary reduces.

ie Employee only works 38 hours base of a 76 hour fortnight. Entitlements shoul be half that but its not reducing.

Hi @karenlee1

Thanks for your post. In Payroll Categories>>Entitlements tab>>open the applicable entitlement, if you have selected Equals [x] Hours per Pay period, that amount will be accrued per period regardless of hours worked. If your employees work variable hours you would need to select Equals [x] percent of.

This help article has detailed information on setting up entitlements: Leave and entitlements

Re: Payroll Automatically Reduce Entitlements when Base Salary Reduced

Hi Tracey_H.

Yes that information worked.

I also needed to use the formula listed to work out the %. Personal Leave entitlements for Part Time employees is no longer pro-rata. They receive 10 personal leave days now regardless id if only work 2, 3 or 4 days a week.

So the % is different to pro-rata ie

10days x 5.5 hpd = 55 hours

22hpw x 52 =1144 hours

(55/1144) x 100 = 4.808%
