Re: Payroll error - only enter pays for current or previous financial year

I am trying to process the pays today (Payment Date 01/07/2020) and it still says "You can only enter pays for the current and previous financial year."  I am using the current 2020.2.2.

Re: Payroll error - only enter pays for current or previous financial year

I have logged on at 6am and still getting the same error message. We have 100 people that we need to process by 11am for them to get paid on time, which we usually do over Monday and Tuesday. When in MYOB expected to roll over!!??? This is ridiculous!

So its now the 1st July.... and payroll still isn't working! Same error coming up.

I thought it was supposed to work if processing from today??

I need to do a lot of payrolls today - assuming MYOB will be onto this problem ASAP!!

Re: Payroll error - only enter pays for current or previous financial year

We did as we were told, waited until 1st July.  Still no joy.  I'ts obvious MYOB did not consult with a payroll officer or a bookkeeper before implementing this "improvement".  MYOB, there is a reason you're losing market share.

Please advise when payroll is working so that I don't spend the rest of today checking.  Todays is 1st July, I don't have time for this.  Do you know how busy we all are today?

Re: Payroll error - only enter pays for current or previous financial year

** URGENT **

IT IS NOW 1-July 2020 and I get STILL GET THE ERROR message "Error You can only enter pays for the current or previous financial year".

It appears that this is a BUG not a feature.

Note: Our financial year runs January to December, and our January to December 2020 financial year is open.

I NEED TO RUN A LARGE PAYROLL TODAY.

MYOB phone lines are not currently open and do not say when they will be open.

MYOB online chat drops out as soon as I enter a comment.

Re: Payroll error - only enter pays for current or previous financial year

Hi Kerry59,

I checked out your post, as it is now the 1.7.20 and we are still receiving the error message. It is 7.46am on 1.7.20, when I go into my company file, it is still saying 2019. I have had to pull extra staff in, as we were unable to process pays yesterday for payment date today.

If it automatically changes, does it change at a certain time of the morning.

Any advice is much appreciated.

Re: Payroll error - only enter pays for current or previous financial year

Well, it is the 1st July and I still can't process the payroll dated today. This is not helpful at EOFY.
