How do you stop MYOB auto-populating the base hours - I wish to always start at 0

Re: Payroll - stop autopopulation of hours

Hi @Ele,

Open up the Employee's card file then navigate to the Payroll Details >> Standard Pay area, then modify the Base Hourly (Hours) to Zero. That will make sure there are no hours showing up automatically when you are processing a  pay run.

would adjusting the employee's cards to zero, affect any of the formula for super, leaves etc ?

It would affect all calculations on the next pay run. The only time it wouldn't be is when you put in a $ number in the Amount column.

Re: Payroll - stop autopopulation of hours

Ok thanks.

I will do that for all 20 guys, and hope it does not **bleep** up some internal formulaes;

as it will stop me paying 38 ord hours and 38 holiday hours for the same week for the same person, in future.

Thank you

Re: Payroll - stop autopopulation of hours

Actually putting 0 in there brings up a message "error. The hours in weekly pay period must be greater than zero"

so that 'fix' does not work.

Re: Payroll - stop autopopulation of hours

Hi @Ele,

I double checked this and this error only pops up if you put 0 in the Card File >> Payroll Details >> Wages >> Hours in Weekly Pay Period area. I have included  a scrrenshot below.

The area I had mentioned before is the Card File >> Payroll Details >> Standard Pay area, which looks like the screenshto below. I the hours amount to 0 and the $ amount to $9 999.00

Oops my mistake.  I see what you mean.  And I confirm it works.  Thank you Smiley Happy
