Reentering Payroll run & STP implications

Due to an issue with my computer hard drive, I lost all my MYOB work, I now have a new laptop and have been able to install MYOB and restore my last backup. However due to my own stupidity and in a rush!! I didn't back up the last time I made any entries whch happens to be my last pay run! It isn't a drama to reenter and I have all the details, but I'm not sure what I do about the STP with the ATO do I upload again and the ATO has two records of the same pay run? Or is there a way I bypass the declaration and it still updates in MYOB?

Thank you in advance.

Re: Reentering Payroll run & STP implications

Hi @blm

STP reporting sends through the YTD figures for each of the employees as opposed to the specific pay run.

if you were to redo a pay run with the exact same figures as the previous pay that was being redone, so that the employee’s pay history was the same as it had been on the now lost file, then when that is reported to the ATO through STP  then the figures will be correct in the ATOs records.

Regards,
Neil
