Rolling Over Payroll while rebuilding a file

I need to rebuild an MYOB file (AccountEdge) after the loss - literally - of a computer and the failure of my backups. I have to go back 5 years. Fortunately its quite a small business and I'll get there. But, I need to continue to process payslips and superannuation in the current fin year, while I work on Year 1, Year 2...etc.

Can I roll over a payroll year, while continuing to work backfilling data for previous financial years?

Thank you.

Re: Rolling Over Payroll while rebuilding a file

Hi @WLonsdale

Yes you can change payroll year independently of FY.  So FY can be 2014 and Payroll Year 2020. Just remember to complete all payroll trans for a payroll year before starting a new payroll year. Payroll transactions can only be entered for the current payroll year. Other trans can be entered for current or future FY.

Regards

Gavin

Thank you, that's extremely helpful. I appreciate your input. No doubt as I go, there will be more questions. WL.
