Hi. Do I need to have an ESA for our SMSF?

Thanks for your post. 

Yes, in order to make super payments to an SMSF through your software, they must have an ESA. You can find more information on this via the ATO's website.

Hi there

Is this still the case? That to change the ESA for my SMSF I have to change the name of the SMSF by adding a letter or number? Not the registered name, just the name in my list of super funds?

Hi @MKSP,

Thank you for your post. 

Because you cannot edit these details on an existing SMSF card, you need to create a new card with the updated details, however, because each SMSF needs to have a different name, you need to rename the old SMSF card in order to create the new one.
