STP Reporting mid way during the year

Hi, I started STP reporting only a few months ago. Do I still need to prepare payment summaries and lodge the file through the portal as with previous years? Or do I follow the STP payroll year end procedures, even though Ive only been lodging info with STP for a few months?

Thanks

Re: STP Reporting mid way during the year

Hey @annaw

If you have already started STP reporting, you would not need to prepare payment summaries. You should just follow  the STP end of financial year procedures as when you started STP reporting, it reported YTD figures to the ATO.

Kind regards,
Komal

Re: STP Reporting mid way during the year

Hi there,

I had the same situation where I started reporting through STP in mid December 2018. As I was unsure of how to proceed about payment summaries, I rang MYOB support and a consultant/representative told me to issue payment summaries as I did in previous years. I already did that and now I'm reading this post where you said we shouldn't prepare payment summaries... Will the payroll information get reported twice?
