Setting up Annual and personal leave pay for new employee

Hello,

We have hired a new employee. He started on the 5th of August 2019. I have put in all his personal, wage and superannuation details. His salary is exactly the same as one of his colleagues. However, his leaves aren't accruing. He gets paid fortnightly. His leaves are calculated based on hours per pay period in MYOB.

How can this be fixed?

Sincere regards,

Gemes

Re: Setting up Annual and personal leave pay for new employee

Hi @Gemes

Thank you for your post.

Can you please confirm following;

  • In this employees card file, has the annual leave entitlement and sick leave entitlement ticked in the card file ? this can be found by going to the card file > payroll details tab > entitlements on the left hand side
  • Is the sick pay wage category set up as salary or hourly ?
  • Is the Annual leave wage category set up as Salary or Hourly ?

Please let us know, we are more than happy to assist.

Cheers,
Melisa

Re: Setting up Annual and personal leave pay for new employee

Hi Melissa,

Thank you for your reply.

I figured out what the problem was. It was a really silly error actually. The previous payslips didn't have the entitlement category factored in hence causing the leaves to not accrue.

I put the entitlement category in the previous payslips which have led to the leaves for the employee being accrued.

Thank you for your response again.

Have a great day ahead.

Sincerely,

Gemes.
