As some of you may be aware, Suncorp has closed a number of Superannuation funds that they administer effective of February 16th 2018.
We recommend that all your employees contact their fund provider to see if they are impacted by this. Additionally, if your employee’s are impacted they will need to advise you of the updated details of their super fund.
To update the details of the super funds in your product, please follow these steps
For AccountRight 201X - Go to Lists >> Superannuation Funds and click on the arrow of the fund that you wish to change. Click the Registered Name drop down and choose the new fund. Please note that changing the details of the fund here will impact all employees linked to that fund.
For AccountRight v19 and AccountEdge - Go to Lists >> Superannuation Funds and click on the arrow beside the fund that you wish to update. Click into the relevant fields and enter in the new information to update the existing fund. Please be aware that this will affect all employees who are linked to this super fund
For MYOB Essentials - Go to Payroll >> Employees >> select the employee who’s details you need to update. Choose the Superannuation tab and choose the new fund from the Fund Type dropdown list. These changes will only impact on this employee.
In order to avoid any complications caused by payments going to funds that are no longer available, we recommend making sure that you have updated super fund details for your employees, prior to making your next superannuation contributions.
