Super based only on hourly not salary

Super Calculation Basis set at "9.5% of Gross Wage". But when processing payroll, the calcuation is only based on Hourly Wage, not Salary. How do I find what has been included in Gross Wage? How can this be fixed?

Thank you in advance!

Re: Super based only on hourly not salary

Hi @magicgru

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum, I hope you find a wealth of knowledge

When going into a Superannuation category you get the option to set the calculation basis. One of the options for the calculation basis is to be Equals x% of X - where X can be set to be a particular payroll category or a series of categories. If it is set to be a series of categories i.e. gross wages you can select the Exempt button on screen to see which categories are included -all categories with the tick will not be included.

If a superannuation category appears not to be calculating correctly (to your requirements) and you would like to investigate why that is the case I would be reviewing Help Article: Superannuation calculations. This Help Article will go through the superannuation category, previous history and how superannuation is calculated.

Do let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance.

Kind Regards,
