Re: System.InvalidOperationException

Hi @BelindaRoss

When you say that the data file had been updated to include payroll, are you indicating that the company file was and AccountRight Basic/Standard file that you have recently changed the product to be AccountRight Plus? If so, have you set up payroll within the company file? For example, gone to Setup>>General Payroll Information and reviewed the information? Have you created an employee's card with payroll details within the company file?

If you have set up the payroll along with an employee's card, we may have to look at arranging for a script to be run over the company file. To do that would you mind confirming the following information:

  • Where the company file is stored i.e. online or local
  • What the LAST FOUR DIGITS of the serial number is - Setup>>Company Information
  • What is the company file ID - Help>>About AccountRight

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: System.InvalidOperationException

Hi Steven

Yes product changed back to AccountRight Plus.

Yes have created employee cards. Have even processed a pay run. But cannot use the payroll reporting as this is when I have the problem.

The Company file is on-line.

Last four digits is 4091

Company file ID is 1

Can you run the script while someone is logged in?

Re: System.InvalidOperationException

Hi @BelindaRoss

Thank you for confirming that information

I've arranged for a script to be run over the company file that has been known to aid in that Payroll reporting process. Do ensure that you close down and reopen the company file before attempting that payroll task again.

Let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance.

Kind regards,
Steven
