Tax tables

I downloaded MYOB 2016 in May however I have only just upgraded and statrted using MYOB 2016 today. When  go to the payroll function it says I need to first load the tax tables and when i try to load the tax tables it says the current tax table is 1/7/2016 and the revised one it wants to load is 1/7/2015??? I have closed down MYOB and reopened it and it doesnt have any updates I am guessing because ir already has the correct tables loaded. It won't let me process payroll or do anything in the payroll page until I load the old tax table?? what do I need to do??

Thanks

Ian

Re: Tax tables

Hi there @Ianmc12,

Welcome to the MYOB Community Forum. We do hope you find it a valuable resource.

Firstly, what version of AccountRight are you currently using? You mentioned it was v2016 - was that v2016.1 or v2016.2? Please note that the compliance update for this year is v2016.2.1 - if you have any other version installed, that may explain why you're encountering issues. To check what version you do have installed, open up your company file and go to Help > About MYOB AccountRight.

Secondly, can we also confirm what details are showing up when you go to Setup > General Payroll Information (e.g. the current payroll year / tax table revision date as listed in this window)? If the current payroll year is not the year ending June 30 2017 and/or the tax table revision date is not 1/07/2016, that would also explain why you are prompted with these messages.

If you are certain that you have loaded the tax tables but the revision date is still showing up as 01/07/2015, please step through the process as outlined on our help page Update the PAYG tax tables (see the FAQ 'Why hasn't the Tax Table Revision Date updated?').

Do let us know how you go with that, and feel free to post again anytime you require.

Warm Regards,

Tallie

Re: Tax tables

Hi Talle

Thank you for that, yes I realised over the weekend that the new Account Right needed to be upgraded as I had originally downloaded it in March and didn't realise that there was an upgrade required. Loaded the upgrade and all is good now.

Thank you

Ian
