This Session has Expired error

Hi Everyone

 

 

Status: A Solution is available

 

Our team have found the underlying issue that was impacting the AccountRight 2019.1 Server Edition  causing the session expired error and have updated the AccountRight 2019.1 Server Edition installer with the resolution to this issue.

 

These updated installers can be found on our product download pages [ Australia | New Zealand ] under the AccountRight Server Edition drop down menu. After installing the new update, you can confirm your on the latest version by going to Help >> About MYOB AccountRight where the version number will have updated from 2019.1.22.366 to 2019.1.22.2298

We are aware some clients are receiving a “This session has expired” error message when using AccountRight 2019.1 in either a terminal server or server environment.

 

To resolve this on the Server computer

  • Run the hotfix tool located on our help article AccountRight server service issues. This will update the port that AccountRight uses
  • Temporarily stop any AccountRight Windows services. You may need the assistance of your IT professional with this step
  • Update your firewall with the new port number. You may need the assistance of your IT professional with this step
  • Update your firewall to use Any IP Address, instead of one or more specified Remote IP addresses. You may need the assistance of your IT professional with this step
  • Restart your Windows services, ensuring the services are set to continue restarting in the event of a failure

 

As this is specifically impacting server environments, moving the file locally onto one computer or uploading the file onto the cloud will also allow the error to be overcome

 

If you are receiving an error when processing the payroll of  “A service call has failed. Please check your network connection and press Retry” please check out that post as well for a solution on this

Update available

 

If you are experiencing this error please download a fresh copy of the installer off our product download pages [ Australia | New Zealand ] under the AccountRight Server Edition dropdown. The AccountRight 2019.1 Server Edition has been updated with a new patch that resolves this issue

 

You can tell that you have installed the updated version by going to Help >> About MYOB AccountRight where the version number will have updated from 2019.1.22.366 to 2019.1.22.2298

 

We recommend seeking the assistance of your IT professional or network administrator when uninstalling and reinstalling AccountRight, as you may not have sufficient privileges to install on the server computer
