Unused long service leave amount showing superannuation amount not required to be paid

Payroll is showing superannuation to be paid on unused long service leave when regulations show that superannuation is not payable on long service leave not taken at termination.

Re: Unused long service leave amount showing superannuation amount not required to be paid

Hi @joyce-margaret_

Generally if Superannuation is calculating on anything that it shouldn't it sounds like we need to make the Wage category an exemption.

To do this:

1. Go to: Payroll > Payroll Categories > Superannuation tab

2. Open the Superannuation Category being used

3. Click the Exemptions button at the top

4. Find and tick the box for unused long service leave and any other wages that shouldn't be calculating Super.

The next time you process Payroll it should then stop calculating this.
