annual leave accural

Hi

I am in the process of changing our employees (work 40 hours) from 38 hour week 1 RDO per month to 36 hour week 2 RDOs per month. I have sucessfully changed the RDO accural to reflect this however am struggling to reflect this in annual leave accural. Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks

Re: annual leave accural

Hi @clairecharlie20

Entitlements in AccountRight are set up on a calculation basis. The calculation basis for an entitlement can be found via Payroll>>Payroll Categories>>Entitlements>>Selecting the required entitlement>>Calculation basis. There are three different methods of calculation basis that can be used - I go briefly go into them below if you would like further information on them Help Article: Leave and entitlements would be worth looking into.

  • User entered amount per pay period - pretty self-explanatory, the user enters the amount per pay
  • Equals x percentage of  - calculates a percentage of a particular category or series of categories*
  • Equals x hours per - calculates a set amount of hours per period/month/year

In your case, updating the RDO categories/entitlement may not have impacted on the entitlement calculation, however, I would recommend reviewing your entitlements and ensuring that you have the correct setup for your needs.

*Note: If you are using Equals x percentage of as the calculation basis do take a look at Calculating an entitlement percentage for information on how that percentage value is typically calculated.

Do let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance.

Kind regards,
Steven
