Invalid ABN error message when trying to setup for BAS

I'm trying to get set up for a new company to lodge statements, but keep getting this error message:

 

"For the next step, we need your ABN.

We’ve detected that you haven’t entered an ABN, or the ABN you entered isn’t valid.

Please enter a valid ABN in the Company Information window or Business Settings page. Once you’ve done that, refresh this page."

 

The ABN is correct, I've put the branch number as 002 based on the 'account number' on our GST registration form and the company name is exactly what's reflected on the ABR. Not sure what else to try?

hi, I'm not sure how to send a PM? I've clicked on the link provided and it takes me to a page that says Private Messages, but there's no options to type? see attached image
