N-T Linked Account error message

Hi there,

I have just moved my MYOB file onto AccountRight  2019.2 and am getting lots of change errors occurring.

I have just tried to enter a N-T transaction and it won't allow me as the account needs to be linked.

Why does it need to be linked and what do I need to do to fix it?

Thansk for your help!

Re: N-T Linked Account error message

Hi @JessM1

AccountRight 2019 is strict on ensuring that linked accounts and other values are in place. This does mean that you do need to have a linked account for tax collected and paid for zero-rated tax codes. You can add in those linked accounts via Lists>>Tax Codes>>Selecting the desired tax code.

Typically, for tax codes, if you are unsure what the linked accounts should be the recommendation is to speak to an accountant. However, in most cases, for zero-rated tax codes like N-T selecting the same accounts as the GST tax code is acceptable.

The Linked Tax Authority on a tax code is optional and not required

Do let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance

Kind regards,
Steven
