PAYG - Activity Statement

Hi There,

I have sent numerous requests re the set up for the Payroll categories in the Activity statement. Half of my categories do not appear to add them?? Therefore the statement is always incorrect and requires adjustment. I have asked this from July 2021??

I am not sure if there is a limit to the amount of categories that can be selected?

Re: PAYG - Activity Statement

Hi @SamELinks

Thanks for your post. You should be able to select all payroll categories in the W fields set up on the Activity statement. So that I can look into your issue can you please send a screenshot of the Set up your activity statement fields window and details of the payroll categories that don't appear.

Cheers,
Tracey

Re: PAYG - Activity Statement

Hi @SamELinks

The screenshot of the online BAS setup shows the payroll categories that have been selected. Is the Add code or category button available? What happens when you click on that button, can you send me a screenshot of that?

Cheers,
Tracey

Re: PAYG - Activity Statement

Below are some screenshots. There are more accounts in the drop down box as the are alphabetical, this shows you that there are numourous missing.

Please send me a link to reply to your inbox, rather than the community forum.

Re: PAYG - Activity Statement

Hi @SamELinks

Thanks for those screenshots. When you click on Add code or category and then click on a payroll category from the dropdown box, is the payroll category added to the field set up?

Or are the payroll categories not appearing in the dropdown box for selection? If this is the case, can you provide examples of one or two payroll categories that don't appear for selection. I'll need screenshots showing that they are missing from that list, that they have not been selected already and the payroll category set up window.

Cheers,
Tracey

Re: PAYG - Activity Statement

The categories are not appearing in the drop down box at all. Refer the screenshot sent Thursday to you, for numerous examples. One of which being ORD1-Base hrly.

Re: PAYG - Activity Statement

Hi @SamELinks

Thanks for clarifying. I've checked this with our specialist team and there is an issue with all payroll categories not appearing in the drop down box when there is a large number of payroll categories. Our developers are looking into this.

In the meantime, you could set up the manual BAS which will allow you to select all payroll categories. You can then copy the amount from the manual BAS into the online BAS form for lodgement. This will save you having to calculate the W1 amount yourself.

We do apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Cheers,
Tracey
