Trying to change a credit card to a Liability

I have a client MYOB and they have 2 loans set up as a liability but under a credit card.

I am needing to change these to a long term liability but get the below error message

You have cheques or deposits for this account in your files

Is there a way to switch this to a LTL??

Re: Trying to change a credit card to a Liability

Hi @Kristyh1

If you have used a bank/credit card type account as a Pay from account/Deposit to account on a transaction you would not be able to change the account type.

If you are needing to change that, deleting the transactions, updating the account, and then re-processing would be the recommendation. Alternatively, creating a new account and recording a journal to transfer the balance from the old to the new would be an option.

Kind regards,
Steven
