With the new 2015 Tax Update in AE, does anyone else agree that the note on the bottom of the Estimate needs improvement? When it states that this estimate does not factor in excess contributions so that there may be an amended assessment... fair enough... but to say that "MYOB is unable to provide an estimate of revised tax..." is pretty rediculous, i think!!
Firstly, our clients do not know we use "MYOB" and secondly, if our client wanted to know, we COULD give them an estimate of their revised tax.... obviously not from MYOB, but we can also do our own calculations.
I feel that this second sentence should be deleted from the Master document!!
Also... the substantiation declaration in ITR's does not show very well... the Tax Agent name, and the title is not centred. And the clients signature part is terrible... it cant even import the clients name. And the signing part referes to "Taxpayer1" this does not look good.
Can people please request enhancement requests for this if you also agree, as this should be fixed asap!!
Thanks for your post, and welcome to the MYOB Community Forum - we hope you find it a valuable resource.
While it is certainly possible for Accounting Practices to modify the master templates used for estimates, schedules etc, most users never need to do this. (You are not able to edit the disclaimer on estimates - see below)
You can modify the master templates by using the Maintenance > Letter Writing > Tax Practice Letters
The layout for the Substantiation Declaration was changed based on Industry Requirements. For more information, check out KB 37386 : Changes to Substantiation declaration template
Our Product Development team have been made aware of the request to remove the reference to MYOB in the Estimate - its important to note that the reason this is there, is because the MYOB tax product cannot determine the actual estimate because of potential Excess Super Contributions that the may not have been entered as part of the return preparation.
Thanks for your response.
So are you saying that i can edit that Note part in the estimate? Or is that the part you are saying that cannot be changed?
I tried to go into the Sub Dec'n as you mention, and when i click Properties, only the Layout properties box comes up and there is no area i can update the template? I have tried the "transfer master documents" instruction and still no change? Am i doing something wrong here?
