We have been trying for a week to change the primary lodging agent for our practice. The ATO keep telling us it is a software problem MYOB support has not been able to provide any solution to this problem. Has anyone else had this problem? If so please help URGENTLY. I am sure that there are many practices that would have been through this proceedure.

Depending on how your Agents and ELS details are set up within Accountant's Enterprise, that will determine the exact steps where you can change your agent details, however here are a few places to start looking...
1 - go into a Tax 2015 return, and from the 'Utilities" menu, choose "ELS Communications Setup"
This is where you will find the details for your "First" agent. This will include the ELS user ID and DIS Password, as well as the ATO Code 1 and 2 values, in addiiton to your ELS Agent ID etc.
2 - go into a Tax 2015 return, and from the Maintenance menu, choose 'Agents" - select an agent, and open the agent to get details specific to each agent.
If you have multiple agents set up, this is likely what you need be checking.
Note: having multiple agents here does not remove/disable the ELS Communications setup agent details - you still need to make sure these are correct too.
If the details in ELS Communications Setup are the same as one of the agents in Maintenance > Agents, then we recommend you set the "Default for Control Record" for the agent in Maintenance > Agents who is the same as the agent in ELS Communications setup.
