you mention that you can access AE without a problem from the server - but from a workstation it doesnt work?

Without knowing your Client ID or your details, I cant look up and see what you have spoken with support about - so can you provide some further details, so I can suggest a course of action.

Hi Alan,

Are you trying to perform (or have performed) a server migration, or install AE Tax 2015.0? Sorry, I'm a little confused as you said you can't get AE Tax 2014 to work, so you haven't installed AE Tax 2015 yet?

Can you please provide some more details on what has transpired and what is (not) working. Also, do you know if you run Profiles or Classic Tax?

Hi @AlanT

I have just spoken with the Tech that has been working on your site - he emailed both your IT Provider (Richard) and Hugh in your practice at 11.57am this morning.

It would appear that the is something odd with the Network stack on your server that is causing issues with network applications from being able to communicate with services running on the server.

From reports, it appears that after a restart, the workstations are able to make connections to the SR-DAL services for a smaill period of time, and then it fails.  

Once we hear back from your IT Provider, we can proceed - however, installing Tax 2015 on your server will not resolve issues that are underlying with the new server.

Yes, that is why we have not yet installed 2015.
