Client Accounting on Cash Basis

Just wondering if anyone has some clients who are reporting their Tax Returns on cash-basis and would like to utilise Client Accounting ability to connect clients' financial data (Essentials, AccountRight etc)?

As far as I know client accounting does not differenciate cash vs accrual basis. Therefore for clients who are reporting on cash basis, data needs to be manually entered as journals into the AE Practice Ledger.

Thanks.

Kind regards,

Patrick Lai

Re: Client Accounting on Cash Basis

Patrick,

Thank you for using the MYOB Community forum.

You are correct. Client Accounting does not distinguish between cash and accruals transactions.

Cheers,

Re: Client Accounting on Cash Basis

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your response.

Do we know if MYOB is looking into this and if this function will be available in the near future?

Thanks.

Kind regards,
