Installation tax 2015 - "conflict in the paths of system release and tax"

Install shield wizard stops with the following error:- There is a conflict in the paths of system release and tax.  One product is referencing a local drive the other a network path.  I have updated the system release folder paths; I have edited the registry to remove all references to server paths;

when the wizard is asking where to install it comes up with C:\myobae; then when it gets to tax the default it comes up with is j:\sol63md which is one of the server folders.

should I try reinstalling system release

should I find all files "DS6OP020"  and rename old and try to update the paths again?

any other options I can try?

Hi Anna,

This error occurs when there is a System Release path mismatch between the registry and Taxinstall.ini files.

Following two Knowledgebase articles will assist you in resolving these errors,
