Invalid file format-client file imports

Hi there,

I got problem when I try to import Xero GL MYE format file into MYOB AE. It said ' Invalid file format, please use the appropriate file format and try again'. But the file format is MYE, which is matching with file type.

I attached the screenshot for your convenience.

Re: Invalid file format-client file imports

Hi @AdamZhang.,

Thanks for your post, and welcome to the MYOB Community!  we hope you find it a great resource.

While the file extension of the file output from Xero GL might be a .MYE file, the data inside the file might actually not be in the correct format, or there could be data that is configured incorrectly.

(much like putting a comic book inside an encyclopedia Smiley Happy )

Check out this Knowledge Base article for more info.  It is possible that there are special characters or letters in the Account codes, or there is an account code that is blank when exporting transactions.

This article has info on the actual file formats and structure that should be in the file in the section "How do I import from another accounting software"
