Rejected REturns in Lodgment Manager Screen

Hi,

 

When we moved to lodging via PLS, we had old income tax returns (from 2005 & 2006) completed but not lodged.  This was due to 2 offices, that once lodged as one, now lodging individually, but we still had the other offices clients on our server.

 

These returns are showing up as 'Rejected' on the Lodgment Manager.  As we no longer have access to the 2005 & 2006 years through System Release, I can not go to System Release and delete the returns. (This has worked to clear other rejected returns from later years - 2008 onwards).

 

Can anyone advise if there is anyway to remove these returns from the lodgement manager, or do we just need to leave them on there.

 

I hope this makes sense.

Firstly, my apologies for the delay in responding - most of the MYOB staff have only just returned from leave this week.

 

And a big welcome to the MYOB Community Forum - we hope you find it a wealth of info!

 

In order to resolve this, usually, the best way is to handle this inside tax from System Release - but as you do not have the 2005 and 2006 years installed, this is not possible.

 

The Lodgment Manager homepage shows results from two different sets of records for Tax - the lodgment status of returns "in flight", and the lodgement tracking records from existing tracking inside tax.

 

Because these Rejected returns have never actually had a status of lodged set against them, they will continue to show in Lodgement Manager homepage, as its job is to show you the "stuff you need to lodge".

 

If its only one or two returns, give our support team a call on 1300 555 666 - we will need to know the returns in question, and will need access to the SQL database, and we can manually fix this up for you.

 

If the tax support analyst needs assistance, refer them to this forum post, and they can come and ask me.

Hi Matt,

 

Thanks for that information.  We have about 23 returns, so I won't worry at present.

 

We are hopefully in the near future getting a new server and will have MYOB setup out system correctly on the new server.  I would think that they would be able to do something then.  It is not a major concern, as all the returns are just sitting at the bottom of the Lodgement Manager.

 

I will keep your note though, for that time, it may help them if necessary.
