We are starting to get the same validation numbers for lodged tax returns with the new PLS system.
This is not very useful when trying to cross-check back to confirm the report lodged.
Is it possible for a unique receipt number to be created when lodging so we can cross-check when things were lodged. As I recall it, it is a requirement of Chartered Accountants ANZ for example, to know when and where we lodged an ITR for example, they usually check this when they do their Quality Reviews.
So, it would be good to be able to properly identify the lodgements with some unique reference point.
