System Release - Machine Name Not Unique

Dear All,


I tried to login in the MYOB System Release as normal, but I couldn't get it in because it said "Machine Name Not Unique" when I double clicked the ICON.


Please help !!

Hi @Twilightspy,


There are several things that can cause this, however the most common ones we come across are:


  • You're logged into System Release on another workstation
  • If you're using a Terminal Server / Citrix environment, you maybe logged into the system twice, and have another session open on the same server, or another server.
  • If you're on a Windows Vista / 7 / 8 PC, there maybe another user session on the PC with System Release open. You would need to switch to the open session and close System Release, or reboot the PC. Just be aware, any unsaved data may be lost.
