trying to locate knowledge base article

We are trying to locate MYOB knowledge base article ID 33598 but can't seem to find it anywhere.

We were told but MYOB support to look up this article for how to fix our issue with MYOB AE.

When doing our daily backup of SQL Tax it comes up saying a user is logged in however this user is not logged in at all. The above article walks through the steps to clear this out, is someone able to point us in the direction where this article is so that our IT techs can fix this prior to us loading Tax 2015 onto our system.

Re: trying to locate knowledge base article

Hi @JoeleneCLM,

You can view the knowledgebase article here:

Having said that, I recommend your IT support checks the open files on the file server. You can do this by going into Computer Management -> Shared Folders -> Open Files

From here you will be able to see which files are currently open. You can then either close them on the workstation(s), or if they are in fact no longer connected, manually close the file connections from this console.

I hope that helps Smiley Happy

Re: trying to locate knowledge base article

Hi @JoeleneCLM

Thanks for your post, and welcome to the MYOB Community Forum - we hope you find it a valuable resource!

You can click on the link below to take you straight to the Knowledge Base article - you will be required to log into the my.MYOB portal after clicking on the link if you are not already logged in.

KB 33598 : How can I view who is logged into AE Practice Manager?

It would appear that you will not have access to this article because you are not licenced for Practice Manager.

So, in short - the steps in the Knowledgebase article are :

  1. identify your "Registration" folder - usually \\servername\Registration or similar
    • could also check the registry key HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\MYOB\Registration
  2. Go to this folded and remove business_login.inf

You can only do this when all users are logged out.
