Stop PDF documents in intranet opening via eplorer

Hi

We are having an issue opening PDF documents that are in the intranet, they open via internet explorer however are now opening for a brief moment and then all we see is a blank grey screen.

We have tried disabling the Adobe Reader add in but this doesn't work either.

Any suggestions on how we can get the documents to open in adobe straight away and not use internet explorer at all?

Thanks

Nicole

Re: Stop PDF documents in intranet opening via eplorer

Hi NicoleCollins,

MYOB Intranet uses the ActiveX settings in Internet Explorer to download the document to a temp folder then open it in the browser or in the default PDF application when it is disabled in the browser.

This issue may occur when using an older version of Adobe Reader or a different PDF application that cannot be disabled in the Internet Explorer browser.

To correct this issue please open your default PDF application then go into preference settings to disable it from opening in the internet browser.

Cheers
