Working Remotely with MYOB AE

I am working at home using my laptop connected to our work network using remote desktop connection. Work is set up through a terminal server. When I log in remotely and access MYOB AE it does not present properly on the screen and I am missing radio buttons - for example I have no save/ok button if I create a file note. I think this maybe has something to do with the DPI settings on my laptop. How do I rectify this?

Re: Working Remotely with MYOB AE

Hi @sandra_p ,

You are correct, this is caused by the DPI Scaling on your local laptop (not the Terminal Server) being set to more than 100%.

Firt of all Log out of Terminal Server (don't just disconnect)

You can change your DPI Scaling settings on your local laptop by going to:

Start -> Settings (cog in the bottom left)

Select System

Select Display

Scroll down to: Scale and layout

In the drop down: Change the size of text, apps, and other items

Change this back to 100%

Your screen will flicker for a moment and everything will get a lot smaller. I should note, these instructions are for Windows 10 only. If you have windows 8 or 8.1, the steps are slightly different.

That should sort it.

Cheers.

Re: Working Remotely with MYOB AE

Hello Stewart

Thank you for your advice and this did solve my issue with MYOB AE. However now all of my other applications (notably Outlook) are extremely small and my poor eyes are suffering. Is this something that I just have to accept?

Re: Working Remotely with MYOB AE

Hi @sandra_p ,

Unfortunately that is correct. MYOB AE / AO doesn't "understand" screen scaling.

Cheers.
