AO Classic General Ledger error INDEP when printing reports

This problem began 6 days ago on a client computer running Windows 10. AO Classic server is installed on Windows 2008 R2.
I am seeing these errors on one computer when generating a report in AO Classic General Ledger on the "Now Processing Compilation Report" screen at Report 6 of 7.

"Can't find code INDEP", "Invalid Group Suppression condition - chekdesc("INDEP","Y")

and other similar errors.
The report seems to generate despite these messages.

Have tried reinstalling AO Classic and using System Restore to go back one week.
Other computers do not have this problem.
Any clues as to where to start looking?

INDEP is a code in Description File Maintenance.

 

To stop the message appearing, under the General Ledger menu select Descripton File Maintenance and click Update from Master. Select the client ZZAu15 - Small Cos then click OK.

 

Several codes including INDEP will be added.

 

When you update to your templates for the latest release, these codes are now included in the templates, so for any new clients the message will not appear.

Welcome to MYOB Community Forum.

 

To resolve this error you will need to update the decription file maintenance.

 

To do so, please follow the below steps:

 

  • Go to General Ledger > Description File Maintenance and select Update from Master.
  • Select the master for the related entity type - it will begin with ZZ. If it says zero descriptions have been added you may also need to select the related entity template to update which will be located around the top of the list. For example, Small Co Template.

 

Now you should be able to preview the reports without any errors.
