Hi
When printing our standard customised letter with the tax returns, it is not displaying correctly. The amount is correct however if there is a refund a "-"(minus) is placed in front of the amount.
Also, our standard letter has a paragraph for refunds and a paragraph for payable amounts. Is there some way (possibly using macros) that MYOB can recognise whether it is a payable or refundable return and hence omit the paragraph that does not apply?
Thanks

Hi @Mirella
Thanks for your post, and welcome to the MYOB Community Forum - we hope you find it a valuable resource!
the Standard Tax letters supplied by MYOB on install include the following text:
According to our estimate, your return will be processed which will result in an amount payable of «Est_IT_Tax».
However, there if as "IF" statement that determines that actual wording - see below :
"According to our estimate, your return will be processed {IF EST_IT_TAX > 0 "which will result in an amount payable of " "and you will receive a refund of " }<<Est_IT_Tax>>.
Depending on how you have edited/created your letter, this may be the reason why you are not seeing the results you expect.
I would suggest that you check our original letters supplied during install - the above text comes from the "Individual Cover Letter" template. If you have modified our original, that could be the reason why you are having this issue - if that is the case, you can contact support on 1300 555 666 - and we can provide you with the original files.
We always encourage that you copy our original files, and modify the copies to create your standard letters for this reason.
You can use Word's "Edit Field Codes" to see the above additional info.
