MYOB Accountants Office Classic - how to import a trial balance/ Movements and template to do so

Hi There

In practice, for clients who have not upgraded to any cloud based form of MYOB Account Right, we normally extract a profit and loss and balance sheet report to ascerain the movements, which is then coded and posted into MYOB Accountants Office Classic.

Is there any way that a CSV file can be created that is in a suitable format to be imported into AO Classic and if so where can I obtain a template for this so that the relevant data can be entered?.

Once the template, if this is possible, has been completed, what are the steps to import the file into AO Classic?

Many thanks in advance

Hi @Jules01

Thank you for posting your query here in the Community Forum.  Apologies for not repsonding sooner but we do hope that you had a chance to take a break, relax and enjoy the holiday season with family and friends.

To answer your question yes there is a template that can be used and this is available in KB Article 2780:  Importing a spreadsheet file into MYOB General Ledger.

Please give this a go and if you have any further questions or concerns - feel free to contact our AO General Ledger Support Team on 1300-555-666 FKC 1, 2, 3, 2.

Hope this helps and Happy New Year!

Cheers,

Esther
