HOW DOES THIS THREAD WORK?
MYOB Portal will continue to grow in functionality with new features added every fortnight. We’d love your input into what we should build next, so please share your thoughts in this thread.
Ask any questions you have about MYOB Portal by clicking REPLY below. There are plenty of MYOB folk lurking here who will see your question and respond as quickly as possible.
More importantly, there are also loads of brilliant beta testers - accountants just like you - who’ve been helping us with MYOB Portal since the beginning. They’re the brave folk who have tested, learnt, trialled, argued and made MYOB Portal what it is today. Without them, this service would not exist. They will also respond to any questions you may have.
I’ll add to this post as more resources and information appears. I’m really looking forward to your contributions!
Here's a snappy interview with Lisa Miks, Product Manager at MYOB, regarding MYOB Portal.
I have just installed and set up AO Live.
Old clients have appeared in the clients list on the portal. How do I remove them from the portal?
If the client is "active' in New AO, then they will appear in the Portal on your client list.
The Client List inside the portal will pull data live from your practice - so if you want to remove a client from this list, then make them inactive inside New AO.
You can do this by opening the client record using the find client list, and then ticking the 'Inactive" checkbox.
Currently, its not possible to delete a portal once its created - however I have passed this on to Product Development for you.
Firstly great work, we feel this is a major step forward.
We've been testing and building processes around the approval process (AE approval) and uploading to the client portal including requesting a signature. We come across a few issues and would like to see if the following enhancements could be added to the client portal.
1. The ability to add/delete/modify TAGs
2. The ability to add/delete/modify standard Subject lines (dropdown would be great)
3. Have a google like search engine built into the portal to search any key words within the firms client portal. At least to be able to search by Tag, Subject, Date...
4. The ability to run reports on varous activities on the portal. Like Tasks completed or outsanding, documents received or sent, who by and when.
5. The ability to resend an Email to a client including other directors (e.g. to send the client a reminder)

Many Thanks MarkAR for your feedback.
The product development team always appreciates our partner feedback.
With regards to document Tags, changes scheduled to come on-board include a Permanent and Temporary option with more to come soon.
As for the ability to add/edit/delete a document Tag, Subject Lines, and the "google" type search capability - these great suggestions have all been noted by the Product Development team for consideration in their development roadmap.
Finally the ability to resend an email to a client including other Directors (sending a client reminder) - This can be done by simply adding a comment and posting it to the outstanding document task. This will send a reminder email to the end user / required approver.
Looking good so far, set up has been easy. Just wondering if there is a task permission in AE where we can restrict which security groups can publish to the portal?
