myob AO classic cannot login

when I try login my account, it pops up this error, then the application closed automatically. I tried reinstalling this software, but the error still exists. So how can I fix it? thanks a lot.

Thanks for your question, and welcome to the MYOB Community Forum!

 

This error tends to occur when there is a server and workstations, and the workstation has been mapped to a location that does not match the server mapping. I've seen this occur often, when a new workstation has been mapped differently to the server, and then is unable to access parts of the software, or where the workstation is looking for data at a location that does not exist.

 

The first thing to check, is did you run a full installer on the workstation, or a workstation setup? The workstation setup is located within the MYOBAO folder and is an application called setup (or setup.exe). The full installer would be downloaded from the my.myob website. I would also suggest checking that the mapped drive matches the server - if it doesn't, you'll need to get that updated. 

 

Once you have checked those, I would recommend giving the support team a call (if you don't have the contact number, it's 1300 555 666 for Australia, and 0800 94 96 98 for New Zealand). Let them know which installer you ran, and the error you are getting, and they will be able to assist with what steps need to be done next.
