Re: pay category for weekly pays

If paying staff for their normal work, and it's all at least $750 a week, I have used their usual pay categories.  I would only use a special JOBKEEPER-START-FN01 or similar category for top-ups to get to the $1500/ftnt.  I hope this is correct, because that is what I have done!

Re: pay category for weekly pays

Hi Vicki , as i read it the pay goes against the normal base however on the first pay you need to put .01c against new categorie JOBKEEPER START - FN01 and then .01 against PAYG withholding so it balances. This will advise the ATO that you are commencing Job Keeper.

What Im not sure about is as we pay weekly if there is a different categorie description  that needs to be set up instead of FN01 ie WK01

Re: pay category for weekly pays

No. The JOBKEEPER-START-FN01 essentially advises the ATO through STP reporting that the employee is eligible from fortnight 01

these Start/Finish codes are advisory only
