Tourism business hit badly by COVID-19 and move from Xero to MYOB

Hello,

 

We are a tourism business and hit badly by COVID-19.

There is no income right now.

 

I am looking at various ways to reduce costs. 

 

There is an offer from ANZ NZ for 12 months free trial

Are the 12 months offer still valid?

 

How the transition works from moving XERO to MYOB?

 

I found there is a tool here about migration

Has anyone had any experience with the migration personally?
Can it fetch all previous records entered at Xero?

Particularly the attached files on invoices.

Really sorry to hear about your situation. I really feel for the tourism industry at the moment. You would be best to phone MYOB (my suggestion before 11am in the mornings) and talk to them. I'm not aware that much data comes from Xero to transfer to MYOB. The conversion link you show is a third party source that MYOB uses to convert what data is possible. I would doubt very much whether it brings across attached documents - you would need to save these to your computer, then re-attach them back once the MYOB file is created. The ANZ free 12 months is for an Essentials file which is very similar to Xero, so I'm sure it will do the job. Pretty sure this is still running. Hope this helps. Good luck

Could the files attached with invoices and bills be able to automatically synced into MYOB?

Hi @mike6 

 

The migration process will migrate data i.e. transactions. Attachments and other external records attached to a transaction will not be migrated as part of that process.
