Hello. When iIset up AccountRight, we planned to have a Financial year end of December 2018 and that is what I set it up as in AccountRight. However, we could not change it in time with the IRD so for this year we have to go until 31 March 2019. How to I change it on AccountRight?
We are using version 2018.4.

On an already established company file the only way to change the dates of the financial year is when the financial year is rolled over. During a financial year rollover you have the opportunity to adjust the last month in the financial year.
In contrast the only other way to set the dates of the financial year is when the file is started. If the file was only recently started, then starting a new file with the desired dates may be another viable option
The company has been running since mid March. I went into Roll year end, changed the date from December to March but that gives me a FY on 1.4.18 to 31.3.19. Whatever way I do it, I can't do >12 months.
As AccountRight does require a 12 month year for the financial year, changing the last month of the financial year will adjust the file to realign the file to that financial year. Its not possible to change the financial year to be a shorter than 12 month period.
