Financial Year

I have just finished a transitional FY 1/7/17-31/12/18.  I now want to start a new FY Jan to Dec.

MYOB tell me it can't be done without starting a new file.  I would be happy with closing FY 30/6/18 and then closing a 6 month period 31/12/18 and then starting as months Jan to DEc 2019.

Any ideas how?

Re: Financial Year

Hi @gillianmarkie

When closing the financial year, you should come to a point where you can change the last month of the financial year. This will allow you to change the dates of the financial year.

As this will impact on the reports generated within the company file, I recommend speaking with your accountant over changing the dates of your financial year

Regards,
Neil
