MYOB Restored File Password Issue


I am trying to open a restored MYOB file saved in my library on my computer to make an adjustment to the payment summaries and keep receiving a message saying that the ID or password is incorrect.


I have tried logging in with both my user ID and the Administrator ID and password without success.


I have restored many files successfully so cannot work out what the issue is in this case.


This matter is now urgent as the employee requires his adjusted payment summary by tomorrow and I have run out of ideas on what to do.


Any ideas please, I am desparate!!!!!

Typically the Administrator password is blank unless a User of your file has specified otherwise.


Like so:



Note that if you do leave it blank, there would be a password on this User ID set up by a User of the file at some point. You would either need to contact the person who set this up to grab this password, or if you are an Administrator, or the Owner of the file, we can also organise a Password Removal for us to remove this password for you.


You can get this organised by sending me a Private Message with:

  • The MYOB Serial Number.
  • The Business Owners Name.
  • The Business Name.
  • The last Invoice Number.
