EOFY figures are not correct

My EOFY figures are not correct,  my current employees all appear to be  correct but my terminated employees are wrong.  I have been over all the steps advised previously but nothing seems to be fixing the problem.  Can anyone offer any advice as to how I go about fixing the problem.

My EOFY Finalisation Screen does not look correct

I have been through the training and my EOFY screen does not show the expected figures. The figures are way too low and the overall total is not correct.  I have run a pay for the new financial year should I have finalised before doing the new pay run?

Hi

Recommend to print a payroll summary in payroll and run a STP verification report in the EOY Finalisation.

This will help you see how much is missing.

Then run zero pays for all employees at 30/6/2020 for both payment and period and lodge.  This

OK I have printed a Payroll Register (Summary) and a Payroll Activity (Summary) the totals of which match. I have run a zero pay as of the 30th June Bonus/Commission.  Gone back to my EOFY Finalisation screen and nothing has changed.  My Gross pay should be in the 1.2K but it is showing 175K.  What now?

Hi 

Recommend to use the payroll summary report as this shows the summary of all employees by payroll category which the STP works from.

Recommend as well to view the STP verification report in STP EOY Finalisation that should guide you what is missing

Hi Chris, I do really appreciate your help here but I am looking at both the verification report and the payroll summary and they have nothing in common.  The Verification report has only a couple of values the Payroll Summary has everything listed, but there is nothing in common between these two reports and the values are poles apart.

 

Do I need to check the ATO reporting codes or something?

Hi

Yes I believe so, when you go into payroll report, there is a check box above payroll reporting centre, could you select this box and see if anything shows that is not allcoated.  If all ok it will say 'Nice One'

Hi Chris,  apologies for delay in getting back to you. 

I have gone back to this again and the EOFY Finalisation figures have changed, since I last worked on this but they are still not correct.  It looks like the terminated staff have incorrect figures but those who are still engaged are good.  Any suggestions as to what I can do or what the problem may be.

Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, could you let me know what about the terminated employees is incorrect... are they not appearing at all, are the figures too high/low, are their final payments not showing... any additional information would be greatly appreciated. 

 

If you haven't already, I suggest running a Payroll Activity Detail report and narrow down which category attached to the terminated employees is causing the issue. I understand you have done some troubleshooting steps already, but just in case, please do have a look at these articles and posts which may assist you.

Yes I am, they terminated staff are not showing enough, so their YTD totals are too low.
